Benefits To You and Levels of Care
Homemaking (Personal Care Assistant) A personal care assistant will provide light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, vacuuming, dusting, mopping and light ironing. All duties are performed solely for the individual receiving services. Unskilled Respite (Personal Care Assistant) A personal care aide will provide bathing, homemaking and or companionship from four to 24 hours, seven days a week. This service allows the client’s primary caregiver some reprieve from duties. Skilled Respite (RN or LPN) A Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse will provide bathing companionship and any skilled need (wound care, medication administration, injections, vital sign monitoring) for client from four to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This service allows the client’s primary caregiver some reprieve from duties. Skilled Nursing Care (RN or LPN) A Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse can provide an array of skilled services that include but are not limited to physical assessment (vital sign monitoring, total body systems assessment) medication administration, medication management (pre-filling of syringes/medicine planners) education on prescribed medicines, venipuncture, caregiver respite, continuous care for the terminally ill, case management. |
